I entered Parliament after a career shaped by service, hard work and a commitment to community.
First and foremost I’m a husband and father. My wife, Anna, and I feel privileged to be raising our four children as part of this wonderful community, and my family are at the centre of everything I do. They are what drives me to build a better future for our community.
My path has taken me from working as a stockman in Australia and the United States to serving in the Australian Army, including deployments to Afghanistan and East Timor. Those experiences taught me the value of resilience, teamwork and putting others before yourself. They also shaped my belief that when something isn’t good enough, you step forward and do something about it.
I am passionate about delivering practical outcomes for our region—whether that’s improving services, supporting local families or ensuring our community continues to grow while protecting what makes it special. I believe in the strength of local communities and the importance of backing people to succeed.
My commitment is simple, to work hard every day, put our community first, and make sure the voices of local families are heard and represented.
I invite you to listen or read my Maiden Speech to get to know me a little better or read my biography.
